I popped into Yvonnes Flowers in Mountmellick one random Saturday Afternoon as I was passing through…. we were in the middle of organising our Wedding and I wanted to get a few ideas of what kind of church flowers, bouqets, styles etc to go for…. I came out from the shop delighted with myself as I had another big ” tick ” crossed off my To Do list yes I ordered my flowers there and then with Yvonne.
I would not be the most familiar with all types of flowers but Yvonne went out of her way to show me a lot of different ideas and styles which I found extremely helpful in deciding what go for I knew after speaking to Yvonne for only a few minutes that I would be ordering my flowers there…. her genuine interest just shone through and I knew I could leave it all in her capable hands..
On the morning of Our Wedding the flowers were deliverd to my house by Yvonne herself and she could not of done any more for us.. everything was clearly labelled with all the names right down to the flower girls little wands.. this was so helpful avoided any confusion as there was a lot of buttonholes etc
I was delighted with my own bouquet and also the bridesmaids, they were even more beautiful than I had imagined… The church flowers were amazing and Yvonne went over and beyond with all the final touches which really stood out I would truly urge anybody thats planning their Wedding or any Special Occasion to make a worthwhile trip here.

From the outset of booking Yvonne as our Wedding Florist we could not have been happier. Yvonne and Hazel helped us as much as they possibly could, through numerous consultations they helped us pick a colour scheme for the day and advised us on what was needed for the church, bouquets and arrangements.
They organised ribbons for cars, candles and button holes for our special guests. Everything was absolutely perfect on the day. Not one detail was overlooked and in the weeks following the wedding the flowers were still being remarked on by our guests.

Me and my husband got married on Friday the 15th of May 2015. It was without question that we chose Yvonne’s florist to do our floral arrangements for the day. Yvonne’s florist is well known in town, Her family business catered for many of my family and friends occasions throughout the years. I absolutely loved our flowers on our big day. Yvonne and her daughter were great from start to finish my flowers were beautiful and I didn’t have to worry about the arrangements on the day as it was all left in the hands of both girls. As you can see from the array of different pictures from our wedding Yvonne and Hazel truly worked their magic in every sense of the word. What I wanted from my wedding is for everything to tie in together, lots of colour with it being February, I was conscious of my pictures being a little bland in terms of colour, but also a roughness to the flowers – nothing too exact, just a mixture of the wildness with the balance of beauty. I was amazed by the idea of adding thistles by Hazel and jumped at it straight away – I love something different but also it tied in with my idea perfectly , the introduction of lavender and other wild flowers brought the edgyness that I wanted. For the groom his only request was not to have a big flower on his lapel so the thistle was just perfect – Hazel could nearly read my mind before I even mentioned it to her .
I loved my bridesmaid dresses and the colour and really wanted to ensure the flowers tied in also – again as you can see from the photos they were just beautiful with them and the red carpet, again a suggestion from the girls really allowed the photographs to come to life and everything just tied in so beautifully.It also tied in so well with the churhcs carpet – again the girls previous experience ensured I had everything covered. For the mothers again the girls suggested corsages so as to not mark their outfits – talk about having everything covered – as you can imagine the Mammies loved these and the idea behind them too.
I know everyone will say that their florist is a dream to work with but these girls really and truly are. In the beginning I had wished for a floral arch for the church, however with the priest not allowing this anymore I thought that would be it but the girls had another idea up their sleeve – one which I think in hindsight was the best decision ever as it added so much colour to my photographs and the outside of the church. It also allowed me to bring these floral stands to my reception as a border for my top table. Again the girls had all this organised and transported these amazing flowers along with my altar long arrangement which I wanted to the reception venue.
I had purchased rose golden ribbon for the pew ends and Yvonne and Hazel added this to the floral arrangements with ease – no request too big.
Not only are Yvonne and Hazel professionals at what they do but they also do it with such enthusiasm and heart. The girls are so approachable and so lovely to deal with and I can honestly say there was never a moment where I felt that my dream wasnt coming together or where I felt I wasnt being listened to. I truly cannot thank them enough for everything and I don’t think any of the above words can truly comprehend their hard work, professionism and love for what they do but also their fabulous personalities – it is very hard to find all three together in today’s service industry and the girls most certainly have this in abundance.

When booking my flowers for my wedding I received 5star service from Yvonne’s florist. So friendly and helpful throughout. I was made to feel at ease immediately when I entered the florist so many samples and ideas I was spoilt for choice! As I am a bad hay fever sufferer Yvonne was at hand with lots of suggestions to help.
It was all very affordable and I was thrilled when I arrived at the church and they had added so many extras. It was truly amazing.

We choose Yvonne to do our flowers as she has many years of experience in wedding designs, she took loads of time with us showed us what different type of flower arrangements would suit our church and also thought of an arrangement with a candle for loved ones who were no longer with us.
Everything was thought of from the buttons holes which were delivered on the morning to each house down to my bouquet, and the bridesmaids everything was exactly what i asked for. the church was amazing from the flower trees on the way in, to the seats and windows and it was just perfect.
